Measure Up

Lock the tape within the scoring zone.

Keeping the measuring tape body in the designated zone, you must release the lock on the tape, and as it quickly winds back into the body, use the lock to stop the tape while the end is between the two lines of the scoring zone.

• You must use the lock on the tape to stop the tape and not your fingers, or trapping the tape against the ground.
• The tape must stay locked after you let go.
• If you are unsuccessful, you must extend the tape back beyond the starting line to try again.
• The tape must return in a reasonably straight line, and not be artificially slowed by any means.
